Who We Are
FurEver ("FurEver", "we", "our", or "us") provides an Android pet memory journal app where users can create pet profiles, save photos and written memories, generate optional AI captions, and revisit memories over time.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use FurEver, we may process the following types of information:
- Account information, such as your email address, user ID, display name, and profile photo.
- Authentication information from Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, and Facebook/Meta Login.
- Pet profiles, memory text, dates, captions, tags, and photos that you add to the app.
- Subscription status and purchase identifiers received through Google Play Billing.
- Device, app, analytics, crash, and diagnostic information used to maintain and improve the app.
- Advertising and rewarded ad information from Google AdMob, including advertising identifiers where applicable.
- Support messages you send to us, including your email address and the content of your request.
Local Storage for Free Users
Free users store memories locally on their Android device. Local memories are not uploaded for cloud backup or sync unless you use a feature that requires external processing, such as account authentication, optional AI caption generation, support, analytics, crash reporting, ads, or another clearly described app feature.
Local data may be removed through app deletion, device settings, or in-app deletion tools. Because local storage is tied to the device, you are responsible for keeping separate backups of memories that are important to you.
Premium Cloud Backup and Sync
Premium users may use cloud backup and sync. For these features, FurEver uses Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage to store account-related app data, pet profiles, memory records, photos, captions, and related metadata so they can be backed up or synced.
Authentication Providers
FurEver uses Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in. You may be able to sign in with Google Sign-In or Facebook/Meta Login. When you use these providers, FurEver may receive account identifiers, your email address, display name, and profile photo if provided by that provider and allowed by your settings.
Google and Meta process information according to their own privacy policies and account settings. You can manage connected apps through your Google or Meta account controls.
Optional AI Caption Generation
AI caption generation is optional. When you choose to generate an AI caption, selected photos and related context may be processed by an external AI provider to produce caption suggestions. Related context may include information such as pet name, memory notes, memory date, or other details you provide for the caption request.
AI caption processing is not fully local. Do not submit photos or text for AI caption generation if you do not want that content processed by an external AI provider.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
FurEver uses Firebase Analytics to understand app usage patterns, such as screens viewed, feature interactions, device type, app version, and general performance signals. FurEver uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and crash traces.
We use this information to improve reliability, fix bugs, and understand whether app features are working as intended.
Advertising and Rewarded Ads
Free users may have the option to watch rewarded ads through Google AdMob in exchange for AI caption allowance or similar in-app benefits. AdMob may process device information, ad interactions, approximate location inferred from network information, and Android advertising identifiers where applicable.
Your device settings may allow you to reset or limit use of the Android advertising ID. Ad-free Premium users should not receive FurEver rewarded ads while their subscription is active.
Subscriptions and Billing
Premium subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment details. FurEver may receive subscription status, product identifiers, purchase tokens, renewal state, and related purchase metadata needed to unlock Premium features, provide support, prevent fraud, and comply with platform requirements.
How We Use Information
- Provide and maintain FurEver and its app features.
- Authenticate users and manage accounts.
- Save local memories and provide Premium cloud backup and sync.
- Generate optional AI captions when requested.
- Provide subscriptions, support, security, and fraud prevention.
- Measure app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability.
- Show and measure rewarded ads for eligible free users.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Third-Party Services
FurEver uses the following named third-party services:
- Google Firebase Authentication for account sign-in.
- Google Sign-In as an authentication provider.
- Facebook/Meta Login as an authentication provider.
- Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage for Premium cloud backup and sync.
- Firebase Analytics for app analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
- Google AdMob for rewarded ads.
- Google Play Billing for subscriptions and purchase handling.
- An external AI provider for optional AI caption generation.
These providers may process information on servers outside your country or region and according to their own privacy terms.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate FurEver, use the services listed above, comply with law, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud or abuse, provide support, or complete a business transfer such as a merger or sale.
Retention
We keep account and cloud data for as long as needed to provide FurEver, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect against fraud or security issues. Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or remove the app.
Some records may be retained for a limited period in backups, logs, billing records, fraud-prevention records, security records, or other legally required records.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict processing of certain information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To request deletion, use the in-app deletion path or follow the instructions on the Delete Account page.
Children's Privacy
FurEver is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
